Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and behavioral disorders are 2 of the most common mental health diagnoses in child adolescent patients. Many patients seeking treatment for these will initially present to a primary care provider (PCP). PCPs need be able identify ADHD or with thorough history, possibly aided by screening tool. Pharmacologic interventions considered first-line ADHD, but school modifications can enhance care. suspecting patient having should refer psychiatric specialist treatment.
